"You can’t see radon. And you can’t smell it or taste it. But it may be a problem in your home."
RADON TESTING
One of the leading causes of lung cancer is radon.Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas. All homes have some degree of radon gas.The EPA recommends reducing radon when the test results show greater than 4 pCi/L. The EPA also suggests that homeowners consider fixing the radon if the level is between 2-4pCi/L. Although radon is dangerous, thankfully there is a safe way to mitigate (reduce the amount) the gas from the home. A home that has been mitigated is a safer and healthier home. If you are buying a home that already has a system installed to mitigate the radon this is a benefit. In order to perform radon testing in the State of Ohio you must be licensed. As the area’s leading radon tester I have been licensed for over a decade.
